Whether you are a wine tasting connoisseur or averse to alcohol, Westchester’s creative selection of nonalcoholic drinks will draw you in with stunning flavors and presentation. If you want a friend’s night out that won’t leave you with regrets or you want to avoid an embarrassing doze off at the dinner table, head to these seven bars and restaurants serving nonalcoholic cocktails and beers.

Ani Ramen

1943 Palmer Ave #7, Larchmont; 914.341.1650

Who would expect a ramen house to have some of the best mocktails around? As you’re chomping on pork belly bao buns and slurping up spicy miso ramen, put out the fire in your mouth with one of the signature mocktails. The Kobe Refresher may introduce you to new flavors like oolong and lychee. If you want to stick to fruity flavors you know and love, go for the Kyoto Grapefruit Fizz with grapefruit and lemon or the Strawberry Sendai with cucumber, strawberry, and ginger beer. If your friends get jealous or you get in the mood for booze, you can add gin, rum, and/or vodka to them all.

bartaco

1 Willett Ave, Port Chester; 914.937.8226

bartaco is known for an upscale spin on traditional street tacos with fresh, seasonal ingredients, but this summer we advise you to go with one drink on your mind: the non-alcoholic IPA. If you’ve never tried non-alcoholic beer before or you’ve been settling for the typical Heineken version of it, this locally sourced and experimental brew will knock your socks off. Pair the Athletic Brewing Run Wild non-alcoholic IPA with seared chorizo or duck birria for the ultimate summer vibe and prove it to the world that non-alcoholic beers are no longer the lousy afterthought of big breweries. They are here to stay.

The Blind Pig

174 Martine Ave, White Plains; 914.607.2687

The Blind Pig presents itself as a gateway through time to a 1930s speakeasy — so, by ordering a mocktail, you’ll be transported to the prohibition era with incredible accuracy. This restaurant serves gourmet food from brunch all the way through 1:30 a.m. If you decide to switch from normal cocktails to mocktails halfway through the night, or you avoid the alcohol completely, the featured mocktail has you covered. “Ain’t Juice” is a sweet-and-sour concoction with lime, pineapple, and non-alcoholic Campari.

Fortina

17 Maple Ave, Armonk; 914.273.0900
136 South Ridge St, Rye Brook; 914.937.0900
1086 N Broadway, Yonkers; 914.358.3595

If the names of Fortina’s mocktails don’t make you giggle, maybe it’s time for a cocktail. The restaurant’s three Westchester locations serve up the Teana Turner for a twist on a traditional iced tea and the Preggo Mama for a sweet, cranberry citrus treat. The rich and hearty Italian eats here require a light mocktail, and the selection will not disappoint.

Pizza & Brew

851 Central Park Ave, Scarsdale; 914.472.1032

This neighborhood pizza joint crafts its booze-free drinks with the same effort as its traditional cocktails. The virgin margarita contains a mouthwatering combination of strawberry puree, orange juice, lime juice, and soda. The dedication to the art of mocktails continues with the frozen drinks. The virgin frozen pina colada, topped with coco cream, brings all the tropical vibes imaginable.

Posto 22

22 Division St, New Rochelle; 914.235.2464

This New Rochelle staple promises to shatter your perceptions of non-alcoholic beverages with its featured list of mocktails. All presented in Instagram-worthy mason jars, the mocktails include the Cherry Chiller and a mature raspberry lemonade with hints of mint. If you want the premier no-alcohol experience, consider the Posto Punch, a tangy and fizzy drink that will transcend the style and flavor of almost all cocktails.
